Gratitude Project Days 12 – 16

So, wow.  I totally slacked off on the daily gratitude project posting.  As far as I’m concerned, though, I have the best reason in the world for not bothering with gratitude project posts… or any other sort of blogging, for that matter… for the last four days.

I was too busy enjoying the things that I’m grateful for to write about them.  I’m okay with that.

Day 12 – I’m grateful for how quickly Norton has recovered from his toddler injury.   A little over 24 hours after the fail incident at the library, Norton started tearing around the house and using his arm with increasing proficiency.  By the time his daddy came home from work, Norton was all better.  You’d never realize that the day before I was beating myself up for my boy getting hurt.

Day 13 – I’m thrilled because it looks like I’m finally going to start receiving prenatal care.  On the day that I hit the thirteen weeks pregnant mark, Dr K’s office called to schedule an appointment.  On the day that I hit fourteen weeks, I finally get to see a health care provider that might actually be my provider for the next 26 weeks.  It’s quite a relief; at this point I thought I was going to end up giving birth without ever actually having had any formal prenatal care.  And not for lack of trying on my part.

Day 14 – I’m grateful for being a stay at home mom.  I accomplished next to nothing in the house, but I sure had a lot of fun playing with Norton in the process.  Besides, having a healthy and fun relationship with my baby is far more important than vacuuming.  Vacuuming can be done any time, and I’ll have years to do it.  Norton will only be small and fun for a little while.

Day 15 – I’m grateful for having a husband that will go to great lengths to help take care of my headaches… which have been getting increasingly worse since being taken off of my headache preventative due to pregnancy a couple of weeks ago.  It’s not fixing them, but at least it’s temporarily making them a little bit better.

Day 16 – I’m grateful for my DVR holding all of the fall shows that I haven’t watched yet.  Now I have something to entertain me while I fold lots and lots of laundry.  And if I run out of motivation, I have a few hoarding shows stashed on there to really encourage me to clean like mad.

What are you grateful for today?

  1. What a lovely list! I smile as I read it, often nodding to myself…that applies to me too. 🙂
