Woolzies Dryer Balls Review & Give Away!

Woolzies Dryer Balls Review and Giveaway (Cloth Diaper Addicts)Yesterday, I announced on my Facebook and on Cloth for a Cause that if I got up to 900 fans, I’d give away a diaper and do a cash donation to the Prince George chapter of Cloth for a Cause.  I didn’t get there.  But I got really, really close.  So let’s do another giveaway that I’ve been meaning to get started: let’s do some Woozlies dryer balls!

Last month, I got a package of Woolzies dryer balls for a review.  I’ve been using them faithfully with my cloth diapers and I love them.

Woolzies Dryer Balls are environmentally friendly

Woolzies Dryer Balls are made of pure wool.  That means that they are a renewable resource and are all natural.  Unlike other products or tennis, they don’t contain any sort of chemicals to break down.  There’s no off-gassing onto your laundry.  There is nothing to throw in the landfill.  At a thousand loads, they last pretty much forever.  Plus, Woolzies do an amazing job of shortening drying time.  According to their website, Woolzies dryer balls can reduce drying time by 25% in large loads and up to 40% in smaller loads.  I didn’t do the math, but I can tell you that my cloth diaper inserts are drying much faster with Woolzies dryer balls in the mix!

Woolzies Dryer Balls are a Small Family Business

I really like to support small businesses, particularly family owned ones in the US and Canada.  When you support a small business, you are directly supporting individuals rather than large and faceless shareholders.  The family that owns Woolzies dryer balls lives in the Hudson Valley region of New York State.  As an environmentally conscious family business, they are a group that I can feel good about giving my money.

Woolzies Dryer Balls supports women

Woolzies Dryer Balls are handmade by women in Nepal.  That means that they are giving women a way to support themselves and their families.  You’re also supporting a developing economy in a democratic country.  How awesome is that?

How Can You Get Woolzies Dryer Balls?

  1. I have wanted to try dryer balls for quite awhile and this seems like a great opportunity!! 🙂

  2. It’s very dry here right now and my clothes are mega staticky, plus who wouldn’t love shorter drying times (especially when you have toddlers who MUST wear that one special outfit ;))? I’ve been in need for a while and just haven’t made the financial commitment!

  3. Dry winters are not good for static! A pack of 6 dryer balls would let me get rid of the last chemically ick in my laundry room – Bounce sheets!

  4. I want them because I absolutely hate those nasty, toxic dryer sheets, and I need something to soften cloth diapers.

  5. I learned that they are made from wool that comes from New Zealand. I would love to have a natural way to decrease drying time and static

  6. Brittany Jimenez says:

I’ve heard so many great things about them. I know they’ll be a heck of a lot cheaper than buying dryer sheets and healthier, also! 100% Eco Friendly?? I think everyone should have a set for free!

    • LOL! As great as that would be, how would the women in Nepal support themselves if it were free? That they’re eco-friendly is a reason to want to give them our money in the first place! 😉

  7. I think it is really cool that they are handmade by women in Nepal 🙂

  8. Yeah! I have a pack of these I am dying to use, just waiting for the washer and dryer to be hooked up after our move! Thanks for sharing, great review!

  26. I want Woolzies because I currently have some plastic dryer balls, and I worry about the chemicals in the plastic! Plus, they’re loud and not very eco-friendly, like Woolzies are.

  27. I would love to try them since we have really sensitive skin

  28. I would like to try them because my homemade yarn ones keep falling apart! Woolzies look like they’d be a little more durable.

I would love to try Woolzies so that they will reduce drying time and also so I can put a few drops of essential oil on them to make my clothes smell great w/out chemicals! Thanks!

  35. We have already stopped using fabric softener. In the summer we line dry as much as we can, but in the winter we have a real problem with static. I would love to use woolzies to help down on THAT little issue, and also to cut dry time and help save on our electric bill.

  36. Charlotte R says:

I love how long they last… they will be good for close to 5 years for me. I have a set of 3 right now from another company, but they already seem like they are wearing out after less than one year.

  37. I love the idea of using everything natural that I possibly can! Also, I love that they last so long. We use cloth diapers and have already gotten rid of our fabric softener, so it would be nice to reduce drying time.

  38. Kristi C. says:

I want Woolzies because they are a natural fabric softener and they shorten the length of time that your clothes and cloth diapers have to spend in the dryer–which lengthens the life of them. So many great things about using Woolzies, would love to win!

  39. kim johnson says:

I would love them because they reduce drying time and are cloth diaper friendly

  40. I love the dryer balls I have and would love to gift these to my mom so she can try some too!
