SoftBums Diaper – I’m Pretty Curious

After a local person ordered some SoftBums diapers and I saw the most adorable Midnight Owls print, I was interested. I’ve never tried a SoftBums diaper before, and now it’s really on my radar.

I’m not sure what the draw is. I am not owl crazed, in spite of owning two owl cloth diapers. (Now skull crazed? That’s a different story.  There was nothing more fun than putting Norton in some kind of awesome skull print diaper.) I do like black and white cloth diapers, but I don’t snatch them up like mad.  I have four black and white diapers.  How many do I need in my cloth diaper stash?

SoftBums Cloth Diaper Has Me Curious (Cloth Diaper Addicts)

This SoftBums cloth diaper is just too beautiful to resist!

Still, over and over again, I keep going back and looking at a SoftBums diaper.  The more I see the Berry Owls print and the Midnight Owls print, the more I want at least one of them.  And then I think that I wouldn’t be opposed to getting the Shamrock Owls SoftBums diaper, either.  Or at least getting it to go on Huan’s bum for another matching cloth diapers photo session.

I know that I don’t need a SoftBums diaper.  Honestly, I don’t need to buy more cloth diapers ever again.  In fact, I need to destash some more.  That doesn’t, however, stop me from drooling over that cuteness at every opportunity.  Then, of course, there’s the novelty of the Echo System being an all-in-two sort of thing that uses the pod system that I don’t actually understand.  That I’m not 100% sure I even get it only adds to the desire to try it.

Have you ever found yourself wondering about the amazing-ness of a diaper?  Did you give in and buy it?  And if you’ve tried a SoftBums diaper, what did you think?

  1. We ended up getting a free SoftBums as part of the GCDC. It was my first time trying SoftBums (I had also been curious). I have to say, after trying it I was not as thrilled as I had expected. I found the toggles a little difficult to manage (no indication that I was getting the leg openings sized the same). One toggle ended up diving down into the leg casing and I had to spend 10 mins fishing it back out. Aplix does not stay put while washing. I wish I could have tried snaps in the SoftBums. I do really like the ability to make it an AI2 or pocket. The insert is really absorbent! It may grow on me as little guy gets bigger, but I don’t think I will buy any more.

  2. You do not need any more diapers. You do not need any more diapers. Just keep repeating that to yourself.

    • “Need” is such a subjective term…. I certainly don’t need any more diapers to add to my stash, but it sure does make me happy when I get one.

    It’s gorgeous… but reading the previous user’s comment saying it’s NOT epic… I’d say no! 🙂

Okay, you don’t need more diapers, but you want more diapers..just do yourself a favour and make sure it is one that you really like. From reading the comments on this one might not be it…unless you just really want the print and aren’t worried about the diaper function…

    • I REALLY want that print… but I’ve found that Bububebe has it, and I’ve been eyeballing them for a while. Maybe I’ll just get that print from them. 😉 (Best suggestion ever!)

I always give in when it comes to buying diapers. They are my guilty pleasure. 🙂 I always buy new & the only used one I bought was a SoftBums & the elastic came out the first time I washed it 🙁 and I never took the time to repair it.
