Favorite Cloth Diaper Ever?

It seems like a lot of people out there really can name a favorite cloth diaper if asked.  Heather over at The Parenting Patch is a Best Bottom fanatic.  K, a local friend, was all about the BumGenius with her daughter.  And my good friend Nikki is all about the AMPs.  Sure, K and Nikki will play with other brands and really enjoy some of them, but at the end of the day, they know what their favorite cloth diaper is.

When I see a question like this one:

Have you ever found a diaper you love so much you want to sell your whole stash and buy only them?”

Favorite Cloth Diaper? (Cloth Diaper Addicts)I have to think about it.  And then I quickly realize…  No.  No, I’ve never had a favorite cloth diaper so strongly be my favorite that I want to get rid of everything else to fund that particular purchase.

I love different diapers for different reasons.  I love all three incarnations of FuzziBunz one size diapers (the original one size, the Elite, and the 2013 Elite) because they are extremely husband friendly.  I love Best Bottom diapers for how trim they are and that I can use the same diapers and inserts with no adjustments on Norton and Eudora.  I love BumGenius for their effectiveness.  I love AppleCheeks for their beautiful colors and for their stuffability.  Blueberry diapers are my workhorse diapers.  I love my Diapers by Chris and my Ella Bella Bum diaper because they are beautiful and well crafted.

I love solids because they’re so versatile.  I love white cloth diapers because they go with almost everything.  I love my WAHM diapers because they are beautifully crafted and made with love and pride.  However, because of the price point on my WAHM diapers, I would never buy one in a solid color.  And the big name manufacturers have

There are other diapers that I love, but there’s no favorite cloth diaper that would cause me to get rid of everything else.  Nope.  And, really, one of my primary considerations when I put a diaper on my children is how well it matches the outfit.  That’s why I’m an adventurous collector rather than a brand loyal cloth diaperer.

Have you ever loved a brand of cloth diaper so much that you destash everything else in order to buy more?

The other side of this coin is – not all diapers fit every baby the same as they grow. So, I’ve found I like certain brands when the baby is little and not as mobile, then as they grow and gain weight (or thin out) I like other brands better. I’m with you, no brand has taken over my collection.

    • So true! A friend of mine loved her Easy Fit diapers, then found that her baby got too chunky and sold them all. When her baby started walking and thinned out, she had some serious seller’s remorse.

  2. I’m like you, I like all my different diapers for different reasons and situations. I also find that I go through phases where I’ll use one type more, and then a different phase will come along and I’ll use a different type more. That said there are certain brands and types that I do not like and have gotten rid of.

At first when I decided to cloth diaper (our first baby soon to be born) I read every article, ebook, and blog out there. I came to the conclusion that I wanted to save the most money and found what I thought would be the most suitable diaper… So what did I do? Bought a stash of 24… On a big sale mind you, but still… Then, the more I thought about it, the more I was convinced that I needed to get others Incase I didn’t like the set I purchased, and/or they didnt work out… Then I found the world of wahm’s…..and my view completely changed… Now I’m addicted lol.

Best Bottoms all the way right here! I could do without every other diaper in my stash, but not without my Best Bottoms.

  5. haha I like that you didn’t choose a favorite. I honestly only picked my “favorite” if someone had a gun to my head 😉 I still have never tried Blueberry! Add that to my list of must-haves I guess 😉 Most people rave about them just like you do!

    • YOU MUST TRY THEM! Seriously, I <3 Blueberry. I would have a ton more if my local store carried them.

I am SO with you on this. I have about 5 or 6 different favorites but I still have more different kinds than those. I love my Bumgenius elementals (old style), applecheeks, Modia pockets, grovia… the list goes on, lol.

There are just too many to have a favorite!

I really didnt think I would have a favorite. One day, I did a local trade with a mama, traded her 2 dream eze fitteds for a Itti Bitti SIO and a regular cover. (for prefolds) I fell in love. Sold my whole stash and bough ALL itti bittis. Still LOVE them! I also have some Ragababes, and I love them, but really, my itti bittis are my one true love.

Fav diaper: best bottoms hands down!

I have done just this! I tried AppleCheeks, and it was love. I sold off the rest of my stash, and never looked back. They fit my babies perfectly, and I will be happy if I never use another brand again.
