My Greener Pasture Hybrid Fitted Cloth Diaper Review

Cloth Diapering Again- My Greener Pasture Hybrid Fitted Review

This is my review of My Greener Pasture’s hybrid fitted cloth diaper.  I received this diaper free for review, but all opinions are one hundred percent my own.  You can see my Small Biz Saturday post about her here.  This lady has talent!

I have to admit, this diaper has increased my love of hybrid fitteds.  It is one of my favorites.  I love how it fits my girl, doesn’t need a PUL cover, and is so soft and cute!  I really love this thing.  My girl loves it too, as you can see in the pictures above.  She likes to point out the animals and have me name them.  Yeah, it’s an exercise in patience getting this diaper on her.  But it’s worth it.  We use it for night and day.  I love it for both.  We have had no leaks whatsoever.  It holds poo in and the outside doesn’t even feel damp after a night of wearing it.  Only once did it feel damp, and that was because I left it on for a long time to really test it.  And it was only damp, not wet.  I have to admit, I was very skeptical about how well this would work since it’s not really waterproof, but it does awesomely.

Above the diaper is turned inside out.  I’ve found that it dries faster if I do that.  I turn it inside out after it’s been washed.  It has a pocket opening and a two layer hemp/cotton fleece soaker.  The snaps are reinforced with a knit material, which I love since it means it stays stretchy.  You can use it without stuffing it, which I honestly haven’t been brave enough to try yet.  The soaker covers both areas for a boy or girl.  It extends pretty high in the front.

One of the many things that I like about this diaper is all the rise snaps it has.  You can see it has five rise rows.  It makes it very easy to get just the right fit.  That’s one thing I don’t like about the rise settings on most other diapers.  There are usually only three and it’s expected to last you from 8 to 35 pounds.  My Greener Pasture’s diapers come in newborn, size 1, and size 2, plus have all these rise snaps.  So you’re really going to get a great fit with these diapers.

I’ll admit, I’m not really a fan of snaps because they take so long to close, but I like the way that the waist snaps are on this diaper. There’s three snaps on each wing with two rows across the tummy.  I think it looks nice and makes for a better fit.  My girl can wear this diaper on the third rise row with the wings almost all the way across at 30 pounds.

The pocket opening is in the back in the seam.  There’s elastic all around it, so it keeps whatever you pack in there in place.  For nighttime, I generally put a large bamboo fleece insert in and we’re good to go.  During the day, I’ll use flats or some other trimmer insert.  This diaper is pretty easy to stuff.  I don’t think Daddy would have a problem stuffing this diape.

I love how she made this with the animals’ heads facing the right way, instead of the one on front being upside down.  It’s a really nice touch that she cared enough to do that.

Sister wouldn’t hold still long enough for me to get a side or front shot.  I have the diaper stuffed for night in these pictures.  Yeah, she was pretty wound up.  The trimness of this diaper really depends on what you stuff in it.  By itself, it’s pretty trim.  It’s also very squishy. 🙂

In the End

I really love this diaper.  It washes great (I wash it with the rest of my diapers) and fits my girl wonderfully.  The soaker does take a while to dry since it is hemp.  I like it that she’s got plenty of room to grow in this.  And Little Man will be able to wear it one day!  I highly recommend My Greener Pasture.  Her diapers are inexpensive, high quality, and cute!  Find her here on Facebook!  She also has a new store up and running now, go here to check it out.  Personally, I’m eyeing that denim print diaper cover and another hybrid fitted for Little Man.  That denim would be so adorable with a button up shirt or t-shirt.
