Snappy Greens One Size Hybrid Fitted Diaper Review

Snappy Greens is an awesome WAHM business specializing in cloth diaper waist extenders, un-paper towels, wipes, burp cloths, fitted diapers, and many more items, with even more coming in the future!  Check out the review I did on her waist extenders here.  This review is about her new one size hybrid fitted diapers.  I purchased one at a discount to test and review.

Snappy Greens Hybrid Fitted

The Hybrid Fitted Diaper

Rebecca makes her hybrid fitteds with the option of a snap down rise or a fold down rise.  My hybrid fitted has a fold down rise.  I had never tried one before, so I was pretty intrigued.  My girl is 30 lbs and fits in it with the rise all the way up or folded just a little bit down.   These diapers are so incredibly soft inside!  They’re lined with cotton velour.  I was worried about it losing its softness after washing, but it hasn’t yet!  The ‘shell’ has a knit cotton outside with a polyester fleece sandwiched between it and the cotton velour, and three snap-in petal soakers, the top two with bamboo and the bottom one with hemp.  This diaper is super absorbent!  It’s got some stretch so you can get a great fit.  It’s not a trim diaper with all the inserts inside it, but you can’t beat being able to wear a fitted with no cover for four hours!  My girl has worn one for a little while and then taken a nap with no leaks.  I keep saying this about Rebecca’s work, but it really is top notch.  I’ve already ordered two more, a newborn one for Little Man and a matching one size for Sister.  I’ve ordered some other things from her too, but you’ll have to wait to find out what some of them are. 🙂 Let’s just say that I’ll be doing some more testing.

What the Hybrid Fitted Looks Like

Above you can see what all the soakers look like and how they get snapped in.  You don’t have to use all of them at once.  I honestly use all of them, because I don’t want to put a cover on the diaper, which I think is just too darn cute.  For a smaller baby, you can just use one or two.  The outside is turned and topstitched, and the soakers are serged.

I had to get Rebecca to show me how to fold down the rise properly, because I wasn’t sure if this diaper would be small enough for an infant.  Yeah, it folds down pretty small.  I like folding the top down better than having a little pouch at the crotch like you get with a snap down rise.

That’s my model/tester.  She loves the cotton velour. She likes to rub it on her face or my arm when we get this diaper out.  She did it to her papa too the first time that she felt it.  Not long after our photo shoot, she went down for a nap. I didn’t bother putting a cover on, and it turns out that we didn’t need it!  The outside of this diaper wasn’t even damp.  It does hold poop in really well.  Yeah, I had to change her.  She seems to like to poop in this diaper.  We have had no staining whatsoever with this diaper yet.

In the End

This is one of my favorite diapers.  The craftsmanship is great and the performance is awesome.  And it’s cute!   It’s a high quality diaper, on par or above par with ones that you find in cloth diaper stores.  You get one of these, and you’ll get an excellent diaper.

You can go to Snappy Greens’ store to order yours here and check out all the fabric she has available here.  If you don’t see something that you like, Rebecca announces when she’s going to order fabrics and will look for any special requests you have.  Not only does she have high quality diapers, she gives high quality customer service.

Go check her out and support a WAHM business.

  1. WAHM shops are my new fascination. Thanks for sharing!

  2. Very cute prints! That’s interesting that you didn’t need a cover with it. I’ve heard a few people who never use covers with their fitteds and I’m always shocked by this! I couldn’t risk it!

  3. Cute print! I really like the orange on the inside.

    • MelissaMendez says:

Isn’t it nice? Orange is one of my favorite colors. Well, I really like pretty much all colors, but orange is one of my more favorites. 🙂

  4. I’ve never heard of the fold down instead of snap down – and I think you’ve convinced me that I should go that direction instead! If you like it better…it must be easier. There are so many options…this can be overwhelming at times! 😉

    • MelissaMendez says:

Yes, it can! Seriously, Snappy Greens are awesome diapers. I’ve got three right now, and she’s fixing to start two customs for me. Not to mention all the other stuff I’ve gotten from her. 🙂 All my Snappy Greens items are really high quality.

  5. I like the zoo animals fitted hybrid diaper from snappy greens.

  6. Bekah Kuczenski says:

Wow she carries just about everything in her shop! I love all her Eco friendly items and I love supporting WAHMs!

  7. Love the anchor diapers, so cute!

  8. Wow, that’s great that you didn’t have to put a cover on over it. This seems like a really great diaper.

  9. I really am liking the idea of a Hybrid Fitted diaper. My kiddo is battling rash and I think this would be a great solution to cover up and yet keep airflow. I love the print you chose with the bright orange. Super cute!

  10. Just got three of these in the mail, I’m devastated i didn’t find them sooner! I love love love everything about them.
