Cozy Bums Diapers – #FluffyXmas Spotlight

I’m so excited.  This year will be the biggest package I’ve ever been able to offer for the Merry Fluffy Christmas giveaway hop.  It’s so big that I’m not even sure I’m going to be able to top it for next year.  Even better?  There will be TWO packages up, one for Canada and one for the United States/Canada.  Cozy Bums is sponsoring the Canada only package.

Cozy Bums – Your Canadian Source for Modern Cloth Diapers

Cozy Bums has been operating in Prince George for six years.  It’s the place in town to buy your diapers.  You’re not just limited to only shopping at Cozy Bums if you live in Prince George, though: Cozy Bums has a fantastic website that is easy to shop from and has what is, in my opinion, one of the best cloth diaper selections in all of Canada.

I did my time working in the service industry.  While it means that I’m a bit more accepting of individual foibles that can cause a rough patch of service (maybe the cashier’s pet scorpion died and that’s why she was rude), it also means that I set the bar extremely high for service to be worth raving about.  Cozy Bums has hit that bar.

Cozy Bums is owned and run by Kerri, a wonderfully sweet woman who is perpetually kind and patient.  She’s always willing to help people who are new to cloth diapering with getting the right diaper for their needs.  She’s not interested in just selling you a diaper.  She wants to sell you the right diaper so that you’ll enjoy your cloth diapering experience.

Really, though, when it comes to Kerri and customer service, there’s one moment that will always stand out in my mind as an example of best service ever:

When Eudora was three months old, we were going to a family reunion.  That year, the reunion was being hosted in out at Salmon Valley, which meant we didn’t have to board the dogs or travel.  I wanted a perfect diaper to match Eudora’s outfit.  I found a Best Bottom diaper that was just gorgeous.  I ordered it.  I ordered it at the last possible second.  Unfortunately, Kerri was out at the lake and the store was closed since it was the weekend.

She saw my order, called me, and then had her mom go into the store and deliver the diaper to my house.  I was amazed.  Kerri and Cozy Bums didn’t just provide good customer service that day.  They went above and beyond extraordinary customer service.  That was the moment when I had decided that I would never shop anywhere else if at all possible.

Cozy Bums Has Variety

Cozy Bums specializes in premium cloth diapers and accessories.  She carries the entire Cotton Babies one size diaper line (bumGenius 4.0, bumGenius Freetime, bumGenius Elementals, and Flip), GroVia, Charlie Banana, FuzziBunz, Blueberry, AMP, AppleCheeks, Thirsties, Frugi by Tots Bots, and more.  She also listens to what her customers want.  We wanted her to carry RLR and CJ’s BUTTer products.  She got them in.

If you want a premium cloth diaper in Canada, Cozy Bums is the place to shop.

Cozy Bums is a Small Business

I prefer to shop with small businesses over big businesses whenever possible.  A small business is supporting a family.  It’s building a college fund and creating dreams.  It’s supporting people instead of an institution.  Shopping with Cozy Bums fits into my ethical standards.

Cozy Bums is Green

Not only does Cozy Bums sell green products for cloth diapering, Cozy Bums itself is actually a certified green business.  They reduce, reuse, and recycle as much as possible in order to minimize their business’s ecological footprint.  I’m not a crunchy treehugger, but I do approve of businesses trying to leave the world a better place than they found it.

Cozy Bums Supports Charity

Cozy Bums is the single biggest donor to the Prince George chapter of Cloth for a Cause.  Through Kerri’s work, she has made it possible for us to get more babies in cloth.  The Prince George chapter would not be able to offer the assistance that we do without her help.

All in all, Cozy Bums is easily one of my favorite places in the world.  I encourage everyone to shop there for cloth diapers.

Have you ever shopped at Cozy Bums?

  8. I loved using cloth diapers on my girls, but now they are in their 20’s. Cloth diapers have come A LONG way since then. I would wish they would have been as great as they are now. I would have used them longer than I did if they had been.

  11. I’m not in the area so I’ve never shopped at Cozy Bums, but it does make me wish that there were some local cloth diaper stores I could support. I love the few stores that I shop online, but nothing beats supporting a business in your own community.

    • If you’re in Canada, you can still shop at Cozy Bums. 🙂 She’s got a great website and one of the best diaper selections in Canada.

This sounds awesome! I love supporting small businesses. My parents have owned a “small business” so it’s nice to see others support small businesses too!
