2013 Christmas Bucket List

I love the holidays.  My Christmases growing up were excessive, and I loved it.  My daddy went absolutely bonkers over Christmas.  The tree was overdecorated, the presents were overflowing, the music was too loud, and the leftovers lasted for a week.  Since I moved up here, though, the husband’s family traditions are kind of dominating.  Even the family in Florida doesn’t do Christmas the way we used to since a lot of that Christmas spirit died with my father.  But I am bound and determined to do amazing things with Norton and Eudora.  That brings me to my 2013 Christmas Bucket List.

2013 Christmas Bucket List

1.) Take the kids light looking.

2.) Build a Rice Krispy treat snowman.

3.) Make hand print ornaments out of cornstarch dough.

4.) Pull out the Cricut machine and use it to do some awesome foam cut outs for crafts.

5.) Bake chocolate chip cookies.2013 Christmas Bucket List (Cloth Diaper Addicts)

6.) Decorate the tree.

7.) Take the kids to the Festival of Trees.

8.) Make Christmas shaped pancakes.

9.) Bake pumpkin bread.

10.) Decorate sugar cookies.

11.) Build a gingerbread house.

12.) Make a cloth diaper ornament.

13.) Read The Polar Express with the kids.

14.) Read ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas with the kids.

15.) Visit Santa Claus.

16.) Make clothespin reindeer ornaments.

17.) Read How the Grinch Stole Christmas.

18.) Go for a sleigh ride.

19.) Decorate Rice Krispy Treat Ornaments.

20.) Make snow globe ornaments.

21.) Do the Rudolph hand/footprint craft.

22.) Make foam ornaments

23.) Paint wooden ornaments.

24.) Santa hand print craft.

There’s only one way, though, that I’ll manage to get through the 2013 Christmas bucket list: I have to remember that Norton and Eudora are tiny and whatever we make is more likely to be a Pinterest fail than a Pinterest win.  But Pinterest shouldn’t be about perfection.  It should be about fun!

  2. These are some great items to have on your holiday bucket list. I would like to finally bake some cookies this holiday season with my boys as well. They would love eating them more than making them, I predict.

  15. That is a very long bucket list! Kudos to you if you get it done- I have my own list of things I want to get done but who knows if it’ll happen. I’ve started a project of sewing our own felt stockings (each with their own animal).. and I’ve got 5 to make. Yikes.
