I’ve been a rotten blogger. I had been sent this wonderful diaper for review, wrote up the review… and then promptly forgot to publish it. Diaper Junction sent me the Diaper Rite Premium one size pocket diaper to review, and Eudora was (as always) a delightful little test subject. Though it’s late, here’s my honest, unbridled opinion on Diaper Rite Premium one size pocket diapers!
About the Diaper Rite One Size Pocket Diaper
The Diaper Rite Premium one size pocket diaper is manufactured in China. However, it is CPSIA compliant, which means it’s tested for meeting US safety standards. The diaper itself is made with PUL for waterproofing and includes two microfiber inserts. The inner is microfleece, which is a synthetic stay dry fiber. The rise on the Diaper Rite Premium one size pocket is snap down rise for three rise settings with three snaps per row and is rated to fit babies 8-35 pounds. And of course, there’s the little “leak guard strip of PUL on the inside of the diaper at the front and back of the diaper.
What’s Awesome About the Diaper Rite Premium One Size Pocket Diaper
I can get a fabulous fit on Eudora. She’s 27 pounds and very, very lean. While I usually don’t use microfiber inserts anymore, the microfiber inserts in the Diaper Rite Premium one size pocket diaper did a great job of holding up to Eudora. I was able to keep it on her for one full sippy cup of milk, which is pretty much the max with heavier natural fibers. The microfleece did a great job of wicking away the moisture and keeping her tush dry (and that’s crucial; Eudora is very sensitive to wet). Plus, because the diaper is designed with a sort of “PUL moisture barrier” at the the back and front of the diaper, there should be no accidental wicking from over saturation… or even if the shirt somehow gets tucked in the diaper.
What’s Not Awesome About the Diaper Rite Premium One Size Pocket Diaper
I’m really reaching for flaws with the design… but the only thing that I truly don’t care for is the rounded tabs on the diaper. Rounded tabs often scream “rebranded cheapie” to me… but the shape of these rounded tabs are different and they are absolutely not rebrands. So it’s really just a minor esthetic thing that is me being nitpicky. It’s a solid, tough little diaper.
The Bottom Line
If you’re looking for a budget priced diaper that is still compliant to federal safety standards, then the Diaper Rite is the way to go. At $10.95 per diaper, it’s intended to not break the bank. Plus, they’ve got a great warranty support and are sold by friendly people.
