Daily Cute Fluffy Bum – GroVia Hybrid

Daily Cute Fluffy Bum - GroVia Hybrid (Cloth Diaper Addicts)One of my favorite things about cloth diapering has always been the ability to match fluff to the outfit.  I’m really enjoying Halloween because the diapers that I don’t usually pay attention to are getting some love!  In this pic, Eudora is wearing a GroVia hybrid in Mandarin.  Mandarin is a discontinued color, but there are still plenty of amazing (and Halloween friendly) colors in GroVia’s line up!

GroVia All-in-One diapers are available from these affiliates: Cozy Bums (Canada), Diaper Junction (US/Canada), Kelly’s Closet (US), Lagoon Baby (Canada), Nicki’s Diapers (US/Canada), Cloth Diaper Addicts Amazon Shoppe (US)

Abdominal Pain during Pregnancy #Throwback

One of the things I love about blogging is that I have a permanent record about how I felt and the things that I did.  It’s wonderful to see how far I’ve come.  When I was six weeks pregnant with Eudora, I woke up with abdominal pain during pregnancy.  I’d had a miscarriage prior to my pregnancy with Norton.  It was awful and traumatic, and I did my best to work past it.  With that in mind, abdominal pain during pregnancy, especially early pregnancy, terrified me.  When I tried to figure out what could cause abdominal pain during pregnancy, particularly low and only on one side, I worried.  My first thought was wondering if it could be early signs of ectopic pregnancy. Coping with Pelvic Pain during Pregnancy

I was hoping that I wouldn’t have to deal with pelvic pain during pregnancy this time around.  I really was.  That particular pain during pregnancy kicked in towards the third trimester with Norton.  This time?  I didn’t even make it to the eight week mark.

But that’s all right.  There’s one good thing about having dealt with the pain during pregnancy of Symphysis Pubis Dysfunction previously: I certainly know what to expect.  I know that there is absolutely nothing medically that can be done to treat it.  But I do know that I can do things to reduce my pelvic pain during pregnancy. Stress during Pregnancy – I’m Being Unreasonable #throwback

I’m five weeks pregnant and already stressed over it.  I know the cause of my stress during pregnancy.  I know that it’s because I’m completely freaking out over my first prenatal ultrasound being done at the private clinic instead of the hospital.  I know that my hatred of that place actually being so intense that it causes stress during pregnancy is ridiculous.

Going there seems like a bad omen.  That was where I went for an ultrasound with the one that didn’t work out.

I hate their policies.  I hate (the majority of) their staff.  I hate their parking lot and the fee that they charge to park there.  I hate walking into the building.

In short, I hate everything about that place. [Read more…]

What if I’m Carrying Twins? #Throwback

I haven’t even had my first prenatal ultrasound yet, but still, every now and again I think of the possibility of carrying twins.  After all, I do keep feeling that weird rolling sensation, and my research has indicated that ridiculously early (like first trimester early) fetal movement is a sign of carrying twins.

This does not appeal to me. [Read more…]

Will I Be a Candidate for a VBAC Delivery? #Throwback

I don’t even know if I’m pregnant at this point since I’m still in the two week wait.  But even while I wait, I can’t help but think ahead.  And I can’t help but think it terms of having a positive pregnancy test.  While I wait, I think ahead.  One thing that I ponder is having a VBAC delivery.  Do I even want a VBAC delivery?

A VBAC delivery is “vaginal birth after cesarean.”  It means just what it sounds like it means: trying to have a vaginal birth after having a previous cesarean.  Norton was born through cesarean.  I don’t have any regrets about that; it’s what was best for Norton. [Read more…]

Thirteen Weeks Pregnant – YAY!

After spending a year struggling with fertility treatments, it feels just amazing to be able to say that I’m thirteen weeks pregnant.  It feels so amazing that I’ll say it again: I’m thirteen weeks pregnant!

Okay, technically I’m thirteen and a half weeks pregnant at this point since I’ve been busy, but still.  We’re there.

And I’m slipping into the second trimester of pregnancy, which will hopefully mean that I’ll be less tired.  The placenta is done and is now doing its thing.  Baby is about the size of a large peach or small orange.  For those who are plagued with really bad nasty pregnancy symptoms, relief should start coming soon if it hasn’t already!
