TotsBots Tini Fit Review

Ever since I started work with Cloth for a Cause, I’ve been fascinated with newborn cloth diapers.  Because my chapter had a need for them when I started, I went on a quest to build a loaner stash for Prince George.  Along the way, I found that they’re so tiny and so adorable… and something that I never used because my babies were eight pounds and change.  However, not everyone has bigger babies, so one of the moms in our local cloth diapering community so kindly wrote a review for TotsBots Tini Fit.

TotsBots Tini Fit Construction

TotsBots Tini Fit ReviewThe TotsBots Tini Fit cloth diaper is a newborn all-in-one cloth diaper.  It’s built almost exactly like the TotsBots Easy Fit.  It has a long “tongue” flap that can either be tucked in the pocket of the diaper or folded over the top.  Unlike the Easy Fit, however, the TotsBots Tini Fit does not have an adjustable rise.  The tongue on the current TotsBots Tini Fit design is a colored minky that matches the exterior of the diaper.

What’s Awesome About the Tini Fit

TotsBots Tini Fit Review (Cloth Diaper Addicts)The TotsBots Tini Fit is the priciest newborn diaper in my cloth diaper stash and a close second to being my favorite one.  It has a nice soft minky inside plus comes with a minky insert.  Without the extra insert the absorbency is not good but once that insert is added it’s perfect. This was the first time I’d ever heard of minky being used in a diaper and I am very impressed with both the softness and the ability to absorb.  The outer material is nice and soft too. The fit around the legs and the waist is excellent for my baby girl, we have never had a leak. I’m unsure of how long she will fit this diaper: she’s not quite 9 lbs yet and it seems to fit perfectly.  I’m curious how it will fit when she’s 11lbs.  The velcro closure is high quality and the laundry tabs have never failed me.  It is hard to justify spending $20 on a diaper that will only last a short while but this diaper is worth it in terms of a luxury product for my baby’s bum.

What’s Not Awesome About the Tini Fit

Did I mention the price?  It’s $20 per diaper in Canada, so that adds up quick.  The bright side is that because newborn diapers aren’t used for very long, they hold their value.  Having to add the extra insert for absorbency is a disadvantage, but at least the diaper’s design makes adding that additional protection an easy thing.

Would I Recommend It?

Oh, yes.  This is such a cute diaper!
