Coping with Pelvic Pain during Pregnancy

I was hoping that I wouldn’t have to deal with pelvic pain during pregnancy this time around.  I really was.  That particular pain during pregnancy kicked in towards the third trimester with Norton.  This time?  I didn’t even make it to the eight week mark.

But that’s all right.  There’s one good thing about having dealt with the pain during pregnancy of Symphysis Pubis Dysfunction previously: I certainly know what to expect.  I know that there is absolutely nothing medically that can be done to treat it.  But I do know that I can do things to reduce my pelvic pain during pregnancy. Pains during Pregnancy – The Spirit is Willing….

I’m no stranger to aches and pains during pregnancy.  Migraines.  Symphysis Pubis Dysfunction.  Sciatica.  Heartburn.  Pains during pregnancy happen, and it’s part of why I loathe being pregnant.  (I want the baby, not the pregnant stuff.  Being pregnant is a means to an end.)  But there’s one thing that I hate more than anything about the various pains during pregnancy: the physical limitations from it.

I am a morning person.  I have always been a morning person.  I wake up in the morning and am thrilled to start the new day.  I have all of these ideas of things that I’ll accomplish.  I’ll be a better mom today than I was yesterday.  I’ll spend some time cleaning in order to get my organized mom groove on.  I’ll cook a beautiful dinner.  Everything will be right with the universe.

Then, of course, there’s the reality.
